Why can't Christians just accept the fact that gay people were born that way?

Why can't christians just face the fact that for some gay people it is the way they were made. The two biggest examples I can think of is former reverand ted haggard and rev mel white. Haggard says he "is a hetroual man with issues" which is just a nice way of sugar coating the obvious. Of course he isn't going to come out and say he is gay which he is. He always has been and always will be. And reverand mel white is another gay preacher who has done everything under the sun to change but it is the way he was made and has married his gay partner. These two men were brought up to hate gays and ity activity so the fact that they can't change I think says volumes about that being gay is not a choice. Maybe for some it's a choice but for most it's not. Accept it christians
