Why is the adage "mother; father; teacher; god" indoctrinated into indian society?
I understand that's how kids feel. They're parents r larger than life, they can do anything, n it would give u the utmost pleasure to win their approval. And yes, they're ur first teachers...and u'll always learn from them in a sense. But after a while, when u realize they too r humans, then shouldn't the GOD part, b dropped? I see so many who blindly follow this philosophy, and get hurt in the process. Females r taught that upon marriage, this role is ped on to their husband. But even when these authority figures make mistakes, they're still to b defended to the core, n adored like they're divine. ANd the only urance women get is that when they have kids, the cycle gets to repeat itself. And ones who don't follow this model get criticized by parents n blasphemed by society. And r supposed to b happy being little puppets, n use ur intellect for only the good of the human gods. Y is this? only to keep harmony, or what? Y hasn't it changed yet? what's so bad if it does change? thanks for thought out intelligent answers. sorry if I offended anyone. Please don't b nasty. There's a difference between rude n nasty. If u want to b rude, kindly get ur two points for ur two cents elsewhere. thanks.
