Should I remain in my University in the middle of nowhere, or go to FIDM or the art institute in NYC?

I am a fashion design major and I am willing to make it in the business but currently I'm at a University in a small town with nothing much around, and I decided to apply for transfer to FIDM(which is in Los Angeles) or the Art Institute in NYC, and now I am confused. FIDM is a really good fashion school but I never thought of moving to LA. I always thought of NYC because I am originally from there and I know my way around the city. So I am highly confused in either to go to FIDM, or go to the art institute in NYC. I know the art institute is a much smaller school but the location is a plus, but then FIDM is great as well but due to it's location, I really am not knowledgable of how well LA is as a fashion capitol. Can someone please give me advice or details on what I have to think about, in order for me to pursue this career in the fashion industry.
