Did this doctor Abuse my fiancee?

My fiancee is 9 months and 2 weeks pregnant. After relocating to a different state, we went for antenatal sessions with a hospital. On our way home my fiancee complained about the doctor inserting 2 fingers (wearing gloves) into her . She also noted there was no prior complaint from her whatsoever to prompt him to probe into her. She had read off our pregnancy book which states this procedure is only preceded by complaint and involves use of instruments. Please enlighten us as we make another on Tuesday.
