Why would a New Covenant be necessary, as G-d said the Covenant was Eternal?

The Covenant was not changed, but fulfilled. The New Testament is merely a fulfillment of the prophecies concerning the Messiah, who I believe is Jesus Christ. That is how we believe in Christianity. The Jewish people still wait for the Messiah. Both beliefs are as they should be in the eyes of God , I believe. I believe he is telling us, again this is from my own Christian view, that old things are ped away, that we must now live by the law according to Christ. Christ himself said, I am not here to destroy the Law, G-d forbid, I am rather here to fulfill the law. All we can do is pray to G-d for understanding while we read his word. Try not to let your human understanding get in the way. We must ONLY approach the word of G-d spiritually, and earnestly,( which it appears you are) If you do this sincerely, waiting for his 'voice' rather then your understanding, he will answer and it will become quite clear. You'll then see there are no contradictions. Seriously, please stop debating so called contradictions. Put aside your understanding. If you try to read the word of G-d with only carnal eyes, it will NOT make any sense. G-d is spiritual, his word is spiritual. Pray before you read that G-d give you understanding, it will all be clear.
