Probably easy to answer for computer stupid person?

Its just two different sections of the same hard drive. Its no big deal. You can use both of them the same way. once one fills up you can start using the other one, or start using the other one now if you want, doesn't really matter. You can combine them, but I don't want to tell you the wrong instructions, so I'll leave that for someone else who knows more about the topic to answer.
